ELCARM
In 1988, the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of The United Methodist Church (GBHEM) was contacted by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in order to develop a similar program for ELCA colleges, universities and seminaries. Upon approval from GBHEM, EIIA entered into a contract with the ELCA and began providing similar services to their higher education institutions under the name ELCARM (ELCA Risk Management, Inc.). Four of the directors are chief financial officers of ELCARM institutions and one is an ELCA institution president. ELCA appoints the balance of the directors. The president of ELCARM serves on the Board of Directors of EIIA.
APCURM In 1992, GBHEM agreed to allow colleges and universities affiliated with the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities (APCU) to enter into a contract for services with EIIA under the name APCURM (APCU Risk Management, Inc.). The APCURM Board of Directors meets semi-annually and is comprised of four chief financial officers of APCU institutions and four presidents of APCU institutions. Presbyterian Church (USA) appoints the balance of the directors.
ABRM
In 2004, GBHEM agreed to allow colleges, universities and seminaries affiliated with the Association of American Baptist Colleges and Seminaries (AABCS) to enter into a contract for services with EIIA under the name of ABRM (American Baptist Risk Management, Inc.). The ABRM Board of Directors meets semi-annually and is comprised of three presidents of ABRM institutions and three chief financial officers of ABRM institutions. American Baptist Churches appoints one director.
