EIIA's Doug Maher Earns Certified Self Funding Specialist ® Designation

CHICAGO, IL (October 22, 2015)

Educational & Institutional Insurance Administrators, Inc. (EIIA) is excited to announce Doug Maher has earned the Certified Self Funding Specialist® professional designation from the Health Care Administrators Association, Minneapolis, MN.

In creating the Certified Self Funded Specialist® program, the Health Care Administrators Association (HCAA) emphasizes its key mission tenets, which are promoting education, information, resources and the exchange of ideas. CSFS® provides all of the parties to a self funded health care plan the information needed to make informed decisions.

Candidates for the CSFS® designation must complete an extensive curriculum of seven comprehensive courses which cover every aspect that plan sponsors, brokers, employee benefit professionals and other health care professionals need to consider when establishing or maintaining a self-funded health care plan. CSFS® was designed as an on-line, self-study program for the busy professional wishing to pursue advanced healthcare knowledge of third party administration and self funding.
