EIIA Excited to Announce My Benefit Basket™ Powered by ConnectedHealth
CHICAGO, IL (March 3, 2015)
Educational & Institutional Insurance Administrators (EIIA) is excited to announce it is partnering with ConnectedHealth, the provider of the industry-leading benefits marketplace, to launch My Benefit Basket for its member colleges and universities. Co-branded with ConnectedHealth’s award-winning Smart Choices™ Marketplace, My Benefit Basket is an online health insurance and benefits decision making platform built for higher education.
My Benefit Basket is an online platform with decision support features to assist higher education faculty and staff in evaluating and selecting health insurance plans and other ancillary products – including dental, vision, life, disability, and accident coverage from national and regional companies based on their personal preferences and financial goals.
EIIA is also pleased that non-group eligible seminary students will have access to an individual version of My Benefit Basket soon. Seminary students, along with their dependents and spouses, will have access to a range of individual coverages. The new portal is also fully integrated with the federal marketplace, allowing these students to determine if they qualify for a tax credit, which they can then apply toward the cost of qualified health plans.
"Our members recognize the value of their employees and want to provide benefit solutions that meet the needs of their faculty and staff," said Siri Gadbois, CEO of EIIA. "Our partnership with ConnectedHealth and the launch of My Benefit Basket makes that goal a reality with an intuitive and consumer-friendly system that simplifies the benefits selection process for employees, while making the administration for HR staff more efficient."
"Now more than ever, universities and colleges need flexible solutions when it comes to benefits coverage for staff, students and family members," said Joe Donlan, President of ConnectedHealth. "Our new partnership reaffirms this growing market need, and continues to position EIIA as a forward-thinking organization that is helping its members stay healthy and attract top talent to grow their institutions."
